Better than a T-Shirt

Original Race team jersey. SWCC was originally founded as a race team, and the bike club grew from that. Like the club, this Jersey was bare bones.

"What should we do about Jerseys?"
"Why not a white one with our name on it?"
"Sure. Let's go ride"

Teal-Attack.

Nothing like a giant wedge of magenta madness to strike fear in the hearts of opponents.

"Hey should we chase down that guy off the front?"
"Na, anybody with guts enough to wear that, we'll never catch".

USSR
This one reminds me of a Soviet Era Olympic Jersey, it just screams; "I must break you!"

"Any ideas for this year's Jersey?"
"Well those Solid Gold dancers always have some swank outfits"
"You mean sequins and metallic fabrics?"
"Well that might cost too much, how about some vertical blocks, that Teal from last year was a big hit"
"Ok. Hey think we should change the ride start time?"

Jewel Tone

"I really like those new pillows for your sofa. "
"Yea, me too. Think we could make a jersey of it?"

Later that summer

"Man it's hot out here...."

Big Dog Racing

My eye is always drawn to the giant Doberman in the top right corner. Almost like a team mascot for Big Dog Racing; "If you can't ride with the Big Dogs, then..."

No Whiners

After years of "If you don't like the jersey's, then why don't you do one.." This one was born with the help of a graphic artist. Note the tri-spoke wheel design, and the "No Whiners" prominently displayed on the side; a message to more than just critics of jersey design.

2001 - Child of No Whiners

Funny how I can criticize the previous years, but someday this one will seem just as lame, well maybe nothing will ever top the Dance Fever run of the mid-eighties.. This one was somewhat of a blend of the Big Dog red and blue with the new design from No Whiners.

Shorts were added this year. It was a great addition, but when you 1st wore them the chamois felt like an extra large depends diaper, it took a few rides to break in.

2003 - Crack Ahead

Improved sponsor logo placement and a little simpler design. And for the 1st time, matching die sublimated shorts. The shorts, along with the matching socks made for a real pro looking kit. Following a trend, also in the pros, the fabric was about 1/10 of a micro thick, leading to many comments from the peloton of "Watch the crack", and they weren't talking about the road surface.

2005 - Inverse of 2003

This year we went with the inverse of 2003 and the "Blue" look was in! We stood out gracefully in the pack and we could see each other with little trouble. We also went to a full zipper rather then the 3/4 zipper. This jersey is easy on the eyes.

2006 - Back to White, but better then our "Better than a T-Shirt" Jersey

The latest and greatest. White jersey with the red trim stiching adds a nice touch! Also the "White" is so much cooler. Now our cool club will be kept cool in Houston which can feel like a sauna in the summer time! This team kit looks sharp and very classey.
